About Us

The Forest Grove Indoor Playground (FGIP) was founded in 1978 by a group of area families who recognized the need for a community-based facility where kids could play indoors during the rainy winter months and where parents could connect. FGIP rented space from several area churches over the years before settling at our current home at the Foresters’ Hall in Verboort in 1994.

The Indoor Playground is a non-profit cooperative. We are able to accommodate sixty member families per year. As a cooperative, each member family is asked to help set up or take down the play equipment three times during the FGIP year. The annual membership fee is $70. The first visit to try us out is always free. We also offer punch cards for limited memberships. The cost is $25 for five visits to the Indoor Playground.

An eight-member board provides oversight for the Playground. Monthly board meetings are open to all cooperative members.
